Activated Carbon Filter

Activated Carbon Filter

To meet certain process needs, PTC WaterTechprovides a broad selection of Activated Carbon Filters, or ACF, for several applications. The adsorption concept explains the operation of the activated carbon filter (ACF). As the water passes through the medium, the pollutant molecules are either absorbed or react with it. The purpose of ACFs is to eliminate organisms, and free chlorine, color, and odor from raw water and wastewater. The filter is made up of different grades of carbon pellets held in place by sand, gravel, and stones. Depending on the kind of treatment needed, different grades of carbon are utilized. The optimal salt value of activated carbon allows for the efficient removal of pollutants.

Our ACFs are utilized in effluent, sewage, water treatment plants, ETP, STP, and WTP as second-stage filtration after MGF/PSF.
